ABRSM diplomas offer varied routes to professional qualification for a wide range of musicians, including performers, teachers and directors - the progressive acquisition of skills, knowledge and understanding beyond Grade 8. Diplomas are designed to reflect your advanced musicianship-requiring the candidates to perform advanced tasks.
ABRSM offers diplomas exams in three disciplines:
1. Music Performance Diploma
2. Music Direction Diploma
3. Instrument/Vocal Teaching Diploma
There are three levels of diplomas:
DipABRSM:
LRSM:
FRSM:
Remark;
• The prerequisite for DipABRSM is Grade 8.
• For Instrument/Vocal Teaching Diploma: having passed Grade 6 Theory exam.
• Candidates are not allowed to skip grades.
