Real Use Answers Questions That Specifications Alone Cannot

01
WEIGHT

Can the student comfortably support and control the instrument, especially when the instrument is large or heavy?

02
AIR

Air requirements and breath control differ between instruments, so actual practice helps reveal whether the instrument suits the student.

03
ROLE

Each instrument has a different role in an ensemble. A teacher’s recommendation is an important starting point, but the student’s real experience should confirm the choice.

MODEL

You Do Not Have to Limit the Choice to Entry-Level Models

Renters may choose an entry-level or higher-level model according to learning goals, the teacher’s recommendation, and budget. A higher model may sometimes suit the student’s actual needs and intended use better.

02
THE COST OF BUYING TOO EARLY

If the Student Stops Playing, Reselling a High-Value Instrument May Not Be Easy

If the student changes their mind, takes on a different role in the ensemble, or stops practising after the purchase, resale may take a long time.

The resale price may not match expectations, or it may be difficult to find a buyer.

Renting first helps reduce the risk of making a large investment before the student has enough real experience with the instrument.

BUY WHEN READY

Consider buying once the student practises regularly, handles the instrument more confidently, and wants to continue using it long term.

Rental payments already made may be applied toward the purchase according to company terms.

03 / CARE JOURNAL

After Playing, the Priority Is to Remove Moisture Before Storage

01 / INSIDE
Remove as much moisture as possible from inside the instrument using cleaning tools appropriate for that instrument. Drain accumulated water from the water keys of brass instruments.
02 / SURFACE
Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth, especially fingerprints, perspiration, and moisture around keys, joints, or the instrument finish.
03 / REED
For instruments that use a reed, remove and store the reed according to the teacher’s recommendation. Do not leave it on the mouthpiece after use.
04 / CASE
Do not put the instrument into its case while moisture is still trapped inside.

DO NOT
