LIFETIME MEANING

What does “Lifetime” mean?

It means that you may request an assessment for as long as you remain the owner of the piano; there is no fixed number of years in which a request must be made. It does not mean that every request is guaranteed to be accepted or that the original purchase value is guaranteed. The assessment changes with the piano’s age, condition, related costs, and market conditions at the time.

TWO OPTIONS

Choose a direct buy back or use the value to upgrade

DIRECT BUY BACK
Sell the piano back

A piano in normal working condition may generally be assessed at approximately 40–60% of its original purchase price. The model, age, condition, and current market must still be reviewed.

TRADE-IN / UPGRADE
Move to another piano

Apply the assessed value of your current piano towards another instrument. A Trade-In assessment may generally be higher than a direct buy back.

The 40–60% range is general guidance, not a guaranteed offer. Churairat Music reserves the right to accept or decline a request and determine the final value after inspection.
ASSESSMENT

What affects the assessed buy-back value?

The evaluation considers more than the cabinet’s appearance. Instrument details, internal condition, related costs, and current market demand are reviewed together.

Brand, model, and serial number
Age and length of use
Cabinet, keys, and finish
Action and internal components
Tuning and service history
Humidity, water, termite, or other damage

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about piano buy-back eligibility

Is a piano not purchased from Churairat Music eligible?

No. The Churairat Lifetime Buy-Back Guarantee applies to acoustic pianos purchased from Churairat Music with verifiable purchase information. You may enquire separately about an assessment for a piano from another source, but it will not be treated as a benefit under this policy.

What does “Lifetime” mean?

You may request an assessment for as long as you remain the owner of the piano. It does not mean that the assessed value remains unchanged, as the value depends on the model, age, condition, related costs, and market conditions at the time.

Will every piano receive 40–60% of its original price?

No. The 40–60% range is general guidance for a direct buy back when a piano remains in normal working condition. It is not a guaranteed value, and every instrument must be assessed individually.

How is a Trade-In different from a direct buy back?

A direct buy back provides the agreed assessed value for the piano. A Trade-In applies the assessed value towards another piano, and its assessment may generally be higher than a direct buy back.

Are digital pianos covered?

Digital pianos are generally not covered because their electronic components, product life cycles, and depreciation differ from acoustic pianos, unless Churairat Music specifies otherwise.

Does Churairat Music accept every buy-back request?

No. The model, serial number, condition, location, related costs, and current market must be reviewed first. Churairat Music reserves the right to accept or decline each request.

Can I request an assessment without the original documents?

You may send the model, serial number, and current photos for an initial review. However, the original documents help verify the purchase history and allow the review to proceed more efficiently.

Important terms: Churairat Music reserves the right to accept or decline a buy-back request and to determine the final value based on the brand, model, serial number, age, external and internal condition, use and maintenance history, location, moving or refurbishment costs, and market conditions on the assessment date.

Would you like your piano assessed?

Send us the model, serial number, current photos, and location, and let us know whether you are considering a direct buy back or Trade-In.
